About the Role
We are looking for a motivated 1st Year Electronic Technician Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent school leaver who is interested in electronics and wants to build practical, hands-on skills while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
You will learn how to repair electronic equipment, build wiring harnesses and sensors, assemble control systems, and assist with customer technical support. No previous work experience is required — just a willingness to learn and a good attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Under supervision and with training, you will:
* Assist with repair and testing of electronic equipment
* Learn to assemble wiring harnesses, sensors, and electronic components
* Help build and assemble monitoring and control systems
* Use basic tools, test equipment, and hand tools safely
* Follow work instructions, drawings, and wiring diagrams
* Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting
* Help maintain a clean and organised workshop
* Learn basic customer technical support skills (phone/email assistance, documenting issues)
* Complete required TAFE / apprenticeship training and coursework
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

* Comfortable working with hands and tools
* Basic computer skills (email, simple data entry)

Qualifications
* Completion of Year 12
* No prior experience required — full training provided
* Enrolment in, or willingness to enrol in, a Certificate III in Electronics or equivalent (as part of the apprenticeship)
* Current QLD driver's license
