Carpentry Apprentice Job
This entry-level position involves working with experienced tradespeople to gain hands-on experience and skills in carpentry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and Interpret Building Plans: Read, interpret and understand building plans and specifications.
* Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut and assemble building materials according to plans and blueprints.
* Assist Qualified Carpenters: Assist qualified carpenters on construction sites with tasks such as lifting heavy loads and operating power tools.
* Use Power Tools Safely: Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to avoid accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
* A minimum of Year 10 (or Equivalent) completion is required for this role.
* Literacy and Numeracy Skills: Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential for success in this position.
* Basic Computer Literacy: Basic computer literacy is necessary for completing tasks and communicating with colleagues.
* Driver's Licence: A current driver's licence and reliable transport are required for daily commutes to work sites.
* Construction White Card: Holding a Construction White Card or being willing to obtain one is a requirement.
* Physical Demands: The ability to lift up to 20kg and work at heights is essential for this role.
* Working Conditions: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and having good hand-eye coordination are must-haves.
