About Us
Manning Mental Health Service is made up of Care Coordination, Intake and Acute Care Teams. We operate as an acute outpatient mental health service who provide consultation, assessment, treatment and follow up of adults and their families within the Lower Mid North Coast community.
Our service supports consumers with transition from hospital into the community through medication monitoring, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, organising of psychiatry reviews and liaising with support services.
About The Role
Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) services are a clinical stream of public mental health services generally provided to people aged 65 years and over, and 50 years and over for Aboriginal people. OPMH services include: multidisciplinary community, outreaching into hospital wards and community OPMH partnership services (including residential services) and programs.
You will be supported through orientation, ongoing in-service and encouragement to complete in house/external training where relevant to role. You will also be supported by the Service Manager and Clinical Coordinator.
About You
You will have experience or a strong interest in supporting older people who are experiencing mental ill health or who may be at high risk of developing mental health problems. The community based position will require you to provide intervention and consultation to older individuals in the home, community health setting and Residential Aged Care Facilities.
Requirements
Recognised and accredited tertiary qualification and registration (or eligibility for) with the relevant board via AHPRA, or eligibility for membership of the relevant association, in one of the following disciplines: social work, psychology, occupational therapy or nursing.
