Job Summary
The Area Controller plays a pivotal role in supporting the management of SES groups in preparing for and responding to emergencies and disasters. This critical position is responsible for overseeing operational service delivery plans, ensuring seamless execution during crises.
* Develop and implement strategic operational plans to enhance emergency response capabilities
* Effectively manage human resources, finances, and assets to optimize performance
* Collaborate with volunteers to achieve operational objectives and drive successful outcomes
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of disaster management legislation and guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver impactful community education programs to promote awareness and preparedness
* Represent SES in key Disaster Management Groups to foster collaboration and coordination
* Contribute to policy development and implementation, shaping the future of emergency services
* Assume operational duties during emergencies and disasters, ensuring effective response and recovery efforts
Requirements:
* Possession of a valid C Class Driver's Licence (non-restricted)
* Desirable: Relevant technical, operational, or educational experience
