Your responsibilities include:Providing personal care such as hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistanceAssisting with household tasks like meal preparation and light cleaningSupporting clients with social and community engagementAdministering medication if trained and qualifiedProviding transport for medical appointments and activitiesEncouraging independence, choice, and well-beingImplementing individualised care and support plansWorking HoursGCLA operates 24/7 services, with shifts available during public holidays, weekends, overnight, evenings, and mornings.
Applicants must be flexible to work across these hours as needed.Requirements include:A genuine passion for supporting older AustraliansCertificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalentExperience in aged care or community supportStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a teamCurrent First Aid & CPR CertificateYellow Card (or willingness to obtain)Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicleAvailability for various shifts, including public holidays, weekends, overnight, evenings, and morningsPreferred experience includes dementia or palliative care, medication administration training, and manual handling training.Why Join GCLA?At GCLA, we empower our employees to grow professionally and personally.
