**The Employer**:
Our clients are a family-owned business that values the importance of a balanced work-life environment. Operating over 5,500 acres on the ranges in the Upper Southeast of SA, they pride themselves on implementing the latest agronomic principles to their broad-acre cereal production of wheat, canola, beans, barley, and lupins. All aspects of the cropping cycle are undertaken in-house with a modern fleet of well-maintained machinery, including a Goldacres Gen2 SP sprayer, a Simplicity liquid air seeder and cultivator, and John Deere headers.
While cropping is the primary focus of their operation, our clients also run an 800-head self-replacing Merino wool/meat flock and produce prime lambs grazed over Veldt grass & Primrose hills along with pasture paddocks of Arrow leaf clover and Barley / Oats & Vetch or Lucerne. Occasionally, the successful team member may be required to assist with animal husbandry.

Our client seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to take on this diverse hands-on Assistant Manager
and mixed farming operations, be observant and take ownership and pride in their work. Excellent
communication skills are necessary, as is a desire to be part of a team.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Broadacre cropping:
- Operation of machinery and paddock guidance for spraying, seeding, rolling, harvesting, and spreading.
- Assist with production planning and liaise with agronomists and service providers.
- General machinery, plant, and vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Sheep operations:
- Drafting, lamb marking, and animal health.
- General day-to-day tasks.
- Enthusiasm for farming, soil, plant health, and a thirst for knowledge.
- HR/HC license or willingness to obtain.
- Chem cert or be willing to obtain.
- An interest in animal husbandry.
- Experience with maintaining farm machinery and infrastructure.
- Welding and light engineering skills are advantageous.
- Agronomy experience or interest to learn.
- Be able to work autonomously.
- Have a progressive mindset with a high level of attention to detail.
