The Opportunity
We are seeking a dependable Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at Ballarat Cancer Care & Haematology.
You will support four doctors and a small team of reception/administration staff, helping to deliver outstanding care to patients across Ballarat, the Grampians and Wimmera.

A Typical Day
* Mornings are spent on administrative tasks before patient consultations begin mid-morning.
* Work as part of a front-desk team of 3–4, supporting up to eleven doctors.
* Manage phone enquiries, schedule appointments using Genie, and provide warm, professional reception to patients.
* Process billings, Medicare and health fund claims, hospital admission paperwork, and dictated correspondence (typing and light editing).
* Travel approximately one day per month on a rotating roster to Ararat (own car and driver's licence required).
The Essentials
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Previous experience in administration, reception or customer service (medical experience highly regarded but not essential).
* A patient-centred approach, with the ability to support people compassionately and professionally.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with Genie will be highly favoured.
* Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize your workload effectively.
* Excellent phone handling and communication skills.
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (for rostered travel to Ararat approximately once a month).
* The right to live and work in Australia.
