**Overview**
The Commercial Manager is a highly visible role that works alongside the Operations and Commercial teams to contribute to the identification & delivery of commercial outcomes for the efm Warehousing division. Broadly, the role will encompass understanding efm Warehousing's logistics operations / customers and developing financial models to evaluate various scenarios, for providing Continuous Improvement. The role will also include preparation of client facing proposals, assisting with project implementation, validation of savings identified, maintaining register of activities and periodic internal reporting.
**Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:
- Understand scope of operations and customer requirements, whilst identifying key improvement areas within the supply chain
- Identify continuous Improvement Initiatives, that is aimed at increasing supply chain efficiencies and lowering logistics & distribution costs for efm and its customers
- Maintain a register of continuous improvement Initiatives and monitoring against contract targets
- Providing periodic internal reporting, including monthly management scorecard
- Creating financial models to review optimisation opportunities
- Use consulting tools and practices to emphasise efm value offering
- Converting data into information via analytics and modelling, to quantify the commercial impact of different scenarios, and enabling clients to drive efficiencies within their business
- Provide insights and actionable items as outcomes from analytical projects
- Support with other ad hoc tasks that includes budgeting / forecasting for the warehousing P&L, assisting with SLA's & contract reviews and other ad hoc analyses
- Keep abreast with market trends and emerging opportunities for solutions beneficial to efm Warehousing and its customers
- Enhance processes and policies for both internal and external stakeholders where appropriate
**To be successful in this position, you will possess**:
- 5+ years' work experience in an analytical role
- Previous experience in logistics or supply environment, preferred
- Experience within a fast-paced and demanding business environment.
- Advanced financial modelling and data analysis, modelling, forecasting skills
- Preparation of regular and ad hoc analytical reports to enhance business outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in either a Commerce or Supply Chain related field
- A great work ethic, combined with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Effective communication, problem solving skills and a forward-thinking mind-set.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and commitment to ensuring a safe workplace
As a part of the hiring process, you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical that incorporates a drug and alcohol screen as well as a police clearance.
