Our kitchen values attention to detail, teamwork and a calm, organised approach to production. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and reliable Pastry Cook to join our team and contribute to the daily production of our patisserie range.
The Role
This is a full-time, hands-on role suited to a pastry professional who enjoys working in a structured production environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. You will work alongside experienced pastry chefs and be involved in the preparation, baking and finishing of our products.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically sound, organised, and takes pride in producing consistent, well-executed pastries every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and produce a range of pastries and desserts from scratch, following established recipes and quality standards.
* Assist with dough and batter preparation, laminating, baking and basic finishing
* Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent, high-quality results
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times
* Adhere to food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety standards (HACCP)
* Assist with daily prep, stock rotation and basic inventory control
* Support new product development when required
* Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production and service targets in a fast-paced environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* At least two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in a bakery or patisserie environment
* A Certificate III & IV in Patisserie, with formal hospitality training and hands-on commercial kitchen experience
* A strong understanding of pastry techniques and commercial kitchen workflows
* Confident in preparing a variety of sweet and savoury products, including cakes, pastries, croissants, tarts and muffins
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality outcomes
* The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve
* Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
