Forge Engineering – Mackay, Queensland Full Time Position – CNC Machinist/Fitter & Turner We currently have a position available for an experienced CNC Machinist/ Fitter & Turner to join our team in Mackay. Standard roster is Monday to Friday with opportunity for regular overtime and shift work.
With a clean modern workshop, quality equipment, good conditions and continuous improvement systems in place, this position will suit someone who wants consistent ongoing work and wants to be part of something better and grow their career. The Role The primary focus of the role is to operate CNC machines efficiently and effectively in a “jobbing” type workshop.
Machining of various types of components related to mobile mining equipment, underground equipment and various other industries will keep you engaged with meaningful work every day. Skills and experience required
* Able to complete precision-type work as per trade requirements
* Proven jobbing-type work experience
* Efficiently operate CNC Horizontal Borers, CNC Lathes and CNC Milling machines
* Must be able to create CNC programs at the machine
* In-depth knowledge and experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controllers
* Adhere to specific QA job requirements
* Take personal responsibility in ensuring all safety, quality, and environmental practices and standards are always maintained
* Demonstrate personal integrity through your consistent values and behaviours
* Effectively interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and machining requirements
* Australian recognised Trade Certificate - Machinist
* Visa approved with rights to work in Australia
* Good communication skills
* All the other usual things like having a good work ethic, attention to detail, taking pride in your work and have your own basic tools of trade
Salary $80K - $90K + overtime
