Your New Role
As the Economic Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting ongoing research, analysis, and reporting activities.
Working within a collaborative team, you will:
* Conduct economic analysis using data from the Data After Dark platform
* Check and maintain data quality
* Prepare templated and bespoke reports
* Deliver insights and respond to urgent analytical requests
* Support research projects related to NSW's night‑time economy
This role operates 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid work arrangements and a minimum of three days in the Haymarket office. While the contract is scheduled through to 30 June,
extension beyond the financial year is highly likely
.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Tertiary qualification in economics or a related field
* Experience applying economic and statistical/econometric models
* Strong storytelling capability—able to present findings in clear and accessible language
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle rapid‑turnaround requests
* Meticulous attention to detail to ensure analytical accuracy
