This is a rare opportunity to take on a key sales role for a thriving Electrical Manufacturer and Distributor in the NSW territory.
As a skilled sales professional, you will be responsible for opening, developing, growing, and managing client relationships and accounts within your assigned region. You will work closely with the broader sales team to identify and grow revenue opportunities by assessing, identifying, and prioritizing appropriate target clients (end users, wholesale groups & branches) within your territory.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of sales and/or brand activation experience into the Trade (B2B), with likely experience in Business Development Manager, Account Manager, and/or Sales Executive roles (or similar). Although not essential, those with sales experience within electrical product wholesale (or similar e.g. building products wholesale) will be viewed favourably as will an Electrician with sales experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate leads across Wholesalers (Electrical predominately) and open new accounts/branches while generating leads across major end-user and service providers that create further demand and loyalty.
* Maintain and build strong existing relationships that see a further increase in new accounts, purchasing frequency, and value.
* Develop and execute regionally or customer-specific promotional campaigns including instore promotions, short-term discounts or offers, and engagement campaigns with end-users.
* Set your agenda daily and empower yourself to create a sales plan and call cycle for your territory, tracking sales growth and opportunities as you go.
* Conduct business planning constantly, with accurate volume forecasting.
* Negotiate agreements in line with company strategy, vision, and values.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong foundation of sales and/or brand activation experience into the Trade (B2B).
* Experience in Business Development Manager, Account Manager, and/or Sales Executive roles (or similar).
* Self-motivated, goal-driven, healthy sense of initiative, and ability to work well within a small team.
* Customer focus, excellent communication skills, and thirst for results.
* Exceptional professional relationship-building skills and strong commercial acumen.
* Ability to confidently provide 'pitch' and back oneself every turn.
* Identify opportunities with innovative solutions and converse/present to all levels of business.
* Professionally mature, inspire confidence, commercial, and motivated by driving a customer-led agenda.
* Sound judgment: anticipating challenges, problem-solving, and seeking right resources to resolve issues.
