Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Grain Mill Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the milling process, ensuring the production of specific mixes for cattle while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Milling Grain: Operate milling machinery to efficiently process grains.
* Mixing: Prepare and mix grain to create specific feed formulations tailored for cattle.
* Accurate Recording: Maintain precise records of all mixes and production runs to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA) requirements.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of ingredients and final products to ensure they meet established standards.
* General Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on milling equipment.
* Pre-Starts: Perform pre-start checks on machines to identify any issues before production.
* Grain Receival: Coordinate the receiving of grain, ensuring proper documentation and quality control.
* Client Coordination: Communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure timely deliveries.
* Loading & Unloading: Operate JCB and forklifts to load and unload grain safely and efficiently.
* Truck Driver: Highly advantageous for applicants to also be able to fill in the grain delivery driver position from time to time.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in grain milling or agricultural operations preferred.
* Familiarity with milling equipment and machinery maintenance.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to operate JCB and forklifts; relevant certifications are a plus.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
