Ipswich City Council is seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Specialist to join its team. This exciting opportunity will involve managing significant tender and contract management activities, focusing on goods and services category of spend, legislative compliance, conducting tender processes and collaborative contract management of Council suppliers.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership skills, with at least five years active experience in a similar role, preferably in a public sector capacity. They will be responsible for undertaking strategic procurement activities, providing internal advice, strategy and category approaches to contracting, and facilitating review, category and forward planning with key stakeholders.
