The Country News team at McPherson Media Group is looking for an enthusiastic cadet journalist who's ready to develop their skills and uncover stories that matter across regional Victoria. This is a great opportunity to learn the ropes, immerse yourself in the community and create content for both print and online. You'll also get to enjoy the relaxed, friendly lifestyle that comes with living and working in a vibrant country town.
Based in Shepparton, you'll spend time out and about, attending local events, speaking with community members, and learning how to report on the people and industries shaping the agricultural landscape.
This role requires:
* Passion for storytelling and the willingness to grow your writing skills
* Great communication skills and team-oriented attitude
* The ability to organise your time effectively and meet deadlines
* Photography skills and a good eye for a great shot
* A flexible attitude, and the willingness to work the occasional weekend, early morning or evening
