Overview

LASER is hiring a National Account Manager - Harvey Norman in Sydney. If you love retail, commercial ownership, and turning product innovation into category growth, we would love to hear from you.


The Company

Celebrating 30+ years in Australia, the LASER brand of consumer electronics and IT products can be found in leading national retailers and mass merchants. With a broad range of products that is continually evolving, we are seeking an energetic, dedicated, ideas-driven sales professional to drive in-store and head office engagements with our retail channel partners.


Purpose of the Role

To drive profitable growth of LASER's retail partners by managing national retail accounts across LASER's multi-brand portfolio, ensuring strong ranging, execution, forecasting accuracy, and long-term strategic partnerships.

This role is accountable for turning LASER product innovation into retail success.

This role is the primary account lead for Harvey Norman nationally, owning the commercial relationship end to end.


Key Responsibilities

1. Account Ownership
o Own the full commercial relationship with Harvey Norman nationally
o Lead product presentations, range reviews, and promotional calendar planning with the Harvey Norman team
o Act as the single point of accountability for sales, forecasts, ranging, and performance
o Build strong relationships with buyers, planners, and operations teams
2. Sales and Forecasting
o Deliver sales, margin, and distribution targets
o Build accurate rolling forecasts aligned with promotional and seasonal activity
o Manage risk between demand, inventory, and promotional commitments
o Proactively identify growth and recovery opportunities
3. Ranging and Product Strategy
o Lead product ranging, SKU rationalisation, and lifecycle management
o Align LASER product roadmaps to retailer strategies
o Drive exclusives, hero products, and category leadership positioning
o Provide product feedback into LASER product development and China sourcing teams
4. Promotional and Trading Management
o Plan promotional calendars with retailers
o Negotiate volume, pricing, funding, and execution support
o Ensure promotions are profitable, compliant, and correctly implemented
o Conduct post-promotion analysis and drive improvements
5. Pricing and Commercial Management
o Negotiate sell price, rebates, promotional funding, and margin performance
o Protect LASER brand value while remaining competitive
o Manage co-op advertising, chargebacks, claims, and compliance issues
6. Forecasting and Supply Chain Alignment
o Partner with demand planning and supply chain teams to ensure stock availability
o Ensure forecasts support production planning
o Minimise aged stock, write-offs, and airfreight exposure
o Communicate changes in demand early
7. In-Store and Online Execution
o Ensure ranging, pricing, content, and displays are correct
o Work with field teams and marketing on execution
o Engage with stores across the country to support product training, POS collateral execution, sell-through review, and end-user experience improvements
o Drive online content quality and accuracy
8. Internal Leadership
o Brief product, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams
o Represent the retailer internally and act as the internal voice of the retailer
o Drive cross-functional alignment for account success
o Lead with accountability, clarity, and professionalism

Skills and Software

* Microsoft Office suite (Teams, SharePoint, and O365)
* CRM (any)


Experience

* At least 2 years experience (in Australian retail) as a Sales Rep, National Account Manager, Retail Business Manager, or BDM
* Experience in the New Zealand market is a bonus
* Experience in consumer electronics, IT, or appliances/electrical categories
* A solid network of contacts (verified in LinkedIn) within the AU and NZ CE and IT market
