The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer / Industrial Designer to join our team. This is a hands‐on role that bridges design and production, taking projects from concept through to workshop documentation, fabrication and installation. The successful applicant will work closely with account managers, workshop staff, third‐party fabricators and installation crews to develop practical, buildable and visually impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Producing 3D concepts, renders and detailed workshop drawings for events, exhibitions, scenic builds and activations
* Preparing production‐ready artwork packages for signage, large‐format print and branded elements
* Translating creative concepts into practical fabrication and production outcomes
* Collaborating closely with workshop, production and installation teams to ensure designs are efficient, buildable and commercially viable
* Liaising with suppliers, fabricators, engineers and external contractors regarding materials, finishes and production methods
* Producing technical documentation and drawings for quoting, fabrication and project delivery
* Assisting with material selection, construction methods and manufacturing outcomes
* Supporting projects through fabrication, installation and onsite delivery
* Managing CNC‐related documentation, tooling requirements and production workflows where required
About You
* Qualification in Industrial Design, Product Design, Interior Design or similar relevant industry experience
* Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks or similar 3D design software
* Strong Adobe Illustrator skills and a solid understanding of production artwork preparation
* Experience preparing files for large‐format print, signage production and CNC manufacturing
* Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills
* Strong understanding of fabrication, construction and production processes
* Ability to communicate effectively with account managers, suppliers, workshop staff and production teams
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
* Ability to self‐manage work load and triage upcoming deadlines as necessary
* Practical problem‐solving skills and a strong understanding of how designs are realised in the real world
Desirable
* Event, exhibition or experiential industry experience
* Knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes
* Experience with large‐format print production and signage systems
* Experience with scenic construction, custom fabrication or exhibition environments
* Experience attending installations and managing projects through to completion
