We are currently seeking a TruScan Field Technician to join our team in Orange, NSW.

Your new role
This role is a key technical resource in rolling out, running and supporting our field-deployable XRF-analysis, hyperspectral and core photography systems. Platforms include Veracio's Truscan and Minalyzer scanner units and support for supporting software.
* Troubleshooting and fault-finding of technical and practical use issues tied to proprietary analytical equipment
* Understanding how to operate and trouble shoot our field-deployable electronic equipment and supporting software
* Conduct field and workshop scanning activities
* Logistical support for field scanning operations
* Escalate and document incidents in line with the company Issue Management System
* Escalates issue of moderate complexity to senior staff.
* Travel regularly, including at short notice, to fulfil the above responsibilities.
* Performs hands-on troubleshooting, service and repairs.
* Contribute to the creation of SWP's and training documentation
* Provide material support to Product Development teams through testing and reporting activities, and operational rollout.
* Training of client field technicians to safely and efficiently operate our field deployable analytical technologies
* Travel to field and other Veracio operational sites to perform duties where required.
* Comply with EHS Policy and KPIs.
What you'll need to succeed
* Must be authorised to work in Australia
* Field experience working on a drill rig; mining or exploration core facility (highly desirable)
* Understanding of handling and logging core samples (desirable)
* Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to maintain relationships with key account customers and internal team.
* Demonstrated interest in digital technologies and new innovations
* Excellent communication skills - oral and written
* Attention to detail and strong initiative
* Proficient in MS Office suite
* A current driver's licence
* Basic electrical and mechanical skills (desirable)
* 4WD and Senior First Aid (desirable)
* Ability to work on a varied roster
What you'll get in return
You will be working in Orange, New South Wales on a 5day, 12hr schedule roster. Hays will pay you on a weekly basis, and you will be paid an attractive hourly rate of $40 plus super. Our position is commencing from 1st September until the end of February 2026 for the right candidate.
