Child Protection Specialist


As a Child Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, intervene, and provide ongoing support to those who need it most.




Main Responsibilities:



* Deliver complex case management services that are tailored to the unique needs of each child, family, and community.

* Work closely with colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication.

* Develop and implement culturally sensitive and strength-based practice approaches that prioritize the well-being and resilience of children and families.

* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practices in child protection.

* Provide coaching and mentoring to new and less experienced staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and innovations in the field of child protection, and apply this knowledge to inform your practice.

* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas for quality improvement and develop strategies to address these gaps.

* Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance your skills and expertise as a Child Protection Specialist.





Key Requirements:



* Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

* Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience working in child protection or a related field.

* Skills: Strong assessment and intervention skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to cultural safety and trauma-informed practice.
