Your new role We're looking for an Operations Coordinator to bring their skills to a role that keeps everything moving.
Reporting to the WA Manager, you'll take charge of coordinating import, export, domestic, and commercial operations, making sure every process runs smoothly and efficiently.Liaising with customers and overseas offices to coordinate operational enquiries and shipmentsRegistering shipments in Cargowise and coordinating formalities including export and import processes with company Customs department and Customs / DAFFVerifying cargoes suitability for international and or domestic transport and making relevant arrangements should the freight require re/packing or fumigation, special handling, etcFacilitating airfreight / seafreight bookings of various types of cargo including dangerous goodsMonitoring shipments through to completion, particularly OOG, BreakbulkMonitoring progress of customs and quarantine clearance via ICS and communicating the outcome to the customerCompleting billing process; timely and accurately coding of supplier's invoices and preparing files for handover to company Accounts as per contracted rate agreementsDelivering a high level of customer service including assisting with RFQ'sParticipating in general office tasks as required What you will need to succeed Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar positionKnowledge of customs and freight forwarding terminologyExcellent working knowledge of Customs ICS and Cargowise computer systemsOperations Coordinator experienceHigh level customer service skillsPositive and skilled attitudeHigh attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skillsAbility to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environmentExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to work autonomously and within a team environment How to apply What you need to do now: If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your resume, or call Thomas Hunter now at.
