About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to join our Chief Finance Officer's Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of effective, responsive and consistent budgetary financial advice and analysis to support informed decision-making.
Alternatively, you may be interested in a role that involves partnering with client divisions to provide financial analysis and advice to support the best use of government resources.
Main Responsibilities
* Partner with key stakeholders to gain an understanding of their business needs and facilitate cooperation, trust and credibility.
* Develop and coordinate budgets and forecasts based on operational needs.
* Prepare and present timely financial reports with meaningful analysis that speaks to performance, key risks and opportunities.
* Manage and support staff in delivering high-quality financial services.
* Establish and maintain internal controls to withstand scrutiny and ensure satisfactory resolution of audit findings.
Requirements
* Australian citizenship.
* Baseline security clearance (successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain this level of clearance).
* Bachelor degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field (or higher), or progressing toward a relevant qualification.
