**The Role**
Within this role you will:
- Be responsible for building collaborative relationships throughout the division and Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG), constructively engaging with Enabling Services Leads to ensure divisional perspectives are represented;
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings to the Director, Chief and Research Leaders;
- Provide technical guidance and support to trial and lab managers; and
- Provide specific policy guidance to the Director, Chief and Research Leaders regarding changes to compliance requirements.
**About our Team**
As the Technical Operations Manager you will be part of a dynamic team based in either Edinburgh (SA) or Fishermans Bend (VIC). The Capability Support Teams within Information Sciences Division and Sensors and Effectors Division provide professional support, services and advice to the Director, Chief of Division and Research staff.
We are an inclusive team and work collaboratively to support each other to achieve our collective outcomes. Geographically we are dispersed across 5 states however the Chief and the majority of the two divisions are based in Edinburgh, South Australia.
To succeed in this role you will:
- Have an in-depth understanding of compliance and support required to achieve excellent technical outcomes;
- Work collaboratively in trans-disciplinary teams, operate as an effective team member harnessing diverse views and encouraging an inclusive team culture and provide constructive feedback to Enabling Capability Leads.
- Have the ability to manage allocated resources, set work area priorities, manage workflows, develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes;
- Think strategically and operate with considerable autonomy to achieve corporate impact;
- Demonstrate sound communication skills; both written and verbal with the ability to foster stakeholder relationships is required;
