Responsibilities
* Create and serve high-quality dishes that meet our standards and delight our customers, residents, and clients.
* Manage inventory by accepting deliveries, properly storing ingredients, and ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked.
* Keep the kitchen and all equipment clean, organised, and in good working condition.
* Implement effective catering management practices to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
* Work closely with team members and interact positively with residents to enhance their dining experience.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
* Uphold and encourage our culture of safety within the kitchen and the broader team.
* Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served following strict food safety guidelines.
Qualifications
* Hold a minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Previous experience cooking in a similar environment is essential
* Have ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
* Have a good understanding of operating a catering operation within strict budgetary constraints
* A team player and able to work autonomously
* NPC: must be willing to obtain a National Police Check
