Overview

The Opportunity
CliniKids is an early intervention therapy provider that sits within The Kids Research Institute Australia, providing diverse, focused therapies for children and babies from six months with early developmental delay or autism. The CliniKids team is made up of experienced clinicians working alongside world-class researchers to put research into practice, working in facilities that are custom made for neurodiverse families.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical services to young children (<9) with autism or developmental delays. In this role, you will work with a diverse team of researchers, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists, where everyone's career matters and everyone has variety in their workday. All staff receive the opportunity to learn a researched specific therapy approach.


Responsibilities

* Deliver evidence-based, family-centred occupational therapy services (individual and group).
* Provide manualised interventions (e.g., ESDM) as selected by CliniKids.
* Contribute to clinical resources and participate in community engagement.
* Comply with Medicare, NDIS, and other funder requirements.
* Support research initiatives and participate in forums and team learning.


Location & Employment

Located across both our Subiaco and Joondalup offices, this position will be offered on a full-time basis for 2 years in the first instance. Part-time will be considered for the right applicant.


About You

This position would suit someone who possesses highly developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, has an enquiring dynamic approach to therapy and is inspired by new challenges.

The key to your success will be your ability to demonstrate the following:

* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Passion for working with young children and their families.
* A dynamic, enquiry-based approach to therapy.
* Understanding of autism and developmental delays.
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and innovation.
* Eligible for a Medicare provider number and NDIA registration.
* Current APRAH registration.
* Valid driver's licence and access to a car when required.


Specific Requirements

* Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, including autism early intervention.
* Familiarity with National Guidelines for supporting autistic children in Australia.
