About The Service
This is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead a new MRI service at the brand‐new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital on the South Coast of NSW. The hospital is scheduled to open in March 2027; until that time, the role will focus on project managing the establishment of MRI services and overseeing the transition of two existing medical imaging sites into the new facility. This will be undertaken in close collaboration with the Chief Radiographer to ensure project milestones are met.
This is a unique opportunity to develop a new service from the ground up and to design and streamline workflows within a modern, purpose‐built facility.

What You'll Be Doing
The MRI Senior provides management responsibility for MRI services under the supervision of the chief radiographer. They provide a quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service by actively participating in the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focused services to the patients, clients, and clinicians of Southern NSW LHD.
Selection Criteria
Current Authority to Practice as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with NSW EPA licence to use radiation (IA14).Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.Ability to provide a wide range of imaging services, including complex MRI examinations, independently and to provide support and training to other staff.Ability to work within and manage a team, including delegating workloads according to skills and competencies.Experience developing and implementing MRI protocols and applying protocols to a wide range of clinical scenarios in MRI.Evidence of ongoing personal CPD, and contribution to programs to supervise or develop others. Master's level post-graduate qualifications (specific to MRI) preferred.Experience applying legislation and regulations to MRI, and experience developing policies and procedures for MRI and experience in the ongoing management of MRI, including staffing and policy development, to ensure sustainable, on-going service provision and expansion.Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
