Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and organised Administrative Assistant with strong mechanical knowledge to join our team and support both the front office and workshop operations.
This role is ideal for an experienced mechanic or technician looking to step away from full-time work on the tools, while still using their knowledge and experience in a workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Answering phone calls and responding to customer enquiries
* Booking and scheduling vehicle service and repair appointments
* Preparing invoices, quotes, and job cards
* Liaising with mechanics and customers regarding job progress and required repairs
* Interpreting mechanical terminology to communicate issues clearly with customers
* Maintaining customer records and workshop documentation
* Assisting with parts ordering and supplier communication
* Managing invoicing and financial records using Xero
* General office administration and support for the workshop manager
About You
* Strong mechanical knowledge is essential
* Previous trade experience or mechanical workshop experience highly preferred
* Ability to understand and communicate mechanical issues to customers
* Previous administration or service advisor experience helpful but not essential
* Experience with Xero and/or Mechanic Desk workshop software beneficial
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Good computer skills and attention to detail
* Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
