Mercy is seeking a Permanent Part-Time reliable and hands on Maintenance Supervisor with experience in site inspections, general repairs, preventative maintenance, and contractor coordination. The role involves maintaining buildings and grounds, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing capital works, and ensuring WHS and compliance standards are consistently met.
Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available
What you'll be doing
* Conduct regular site inspections and asset condition audits to identify maintenance requirements and risks.
* Undertake minor maintenance and repair tasks as required, including patching, painting and general building repairs.
* Perform basic grounds maintenance duties when required, including lawn mowing, edging and hedging.
* Coordinate and undertake waste disposal activities as required, including transport of materials to approved waste facilities.
* Report hazards and risks associated with buildings, plant, equipment and grounds, and implement corrective actions where appropriate.
* Participate in team meetings as required.
* Monitor contracts, service delivery and proactively develop plans to resolve identified issues or service gaps.
* Deploy resources effectively and efficiently to maintain Mercy Community's high service standards and operational sustainability.
* Lead, manage and deliver operational and strategic projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
* Organise and oversee capital works and refurbishment projects.
* Manage contractors, including onboarding, and ensure compliance with WHS, insurance and licensing requirements.
About you
* Previous experience in a similar maintenance supervisory role.
* Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and maintenance schedules.
* Experience undertaking preventative maintenance on buildings, plant and equipment.
* Ability to operate gardening and maintenance equipment safely.
* Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Intermediate computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
* Current Queensland Driver Licence.
* Ability to obtain a positive Police Check and other required screenings.
