Job Description:
The Microchip Systems division is seeking an entry-level Supply Chain Specialist to join the Planning Team at the Mount Holly Springs Facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to start a career in Supply Chain, gaining experience in material planning and forecasting. The Planner will develop master plans to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Management will be crucial to achieving business goals. The role also involves participating in continuous improvement projects to maximize efficiency and standardize processes across sites.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain forecasts for assigned product lines in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders within an ERP environment, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with customer needs and revenue goals.
2. Schedule all sales orders for assigned product lines, ensuring accurate and timely ship dates, and work with Customer Service to address any delays or changes.
3. Process planned purchase orders, review variances, and resolve issues related to past due or unconfirmed orders with suppliers.
4. Manage inventory levels, identify exceptions such as shortages or quality issues, and coordinate with relevant teams.
5. Work closely with Engineers and Strategic Sourcing Managers to meet customer demand.
6. Resolve accounts payable/receivable discrepancies and process returns to vendors (RTV).
7. Participate in revenue tracking to identify opportunities for growth and risk mitigation.
8. Coordinate with stockroom and production teams to ensure on-time shipments and communicate effectively about ship dates.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate across sites to standardize processes.
10. Create reports, templates, or macros in Excel to enhance planning functions.
11. Manage change orders and corrective/preventive actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
12. Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Management Information Systems, or related field.
* US Person required due to ITAR regulations.
* Knowledge of supply chain processes, manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment.
* Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage complexity, resolve conflicts, and prioritize tasks.
* Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.
