Job Description
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for a full-service restaurant in accordance with established recipes and service standards
* Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation during all stages of preparation and service
* Maintaining consistency in portion control and presentation
* Operating and regulating kitchen equipment, including ovens and grills, to ensure correct cooking temperatures
* Seasoning, plating, and finishing dishes with appropriate sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments
* Preparing meals to meet special dietary requirements and customer requests
* Managing storage, rotation, and labelling of food items
* Ensuring safe storage of food in temperature-controlled facilities in line with food safety requirements
* Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage
* Assisting with menu planning, food preparation levels, and service coordination
* Supporting and guiding junior kitchen staff during service periods
