Position Title: Stage Leader – Primary School commencing Term 1, 2026.

Term: Full-time, 2-year contract with an opportunity of renewal

Location: Austral, NSW (onsite)

The Role

The Stage Leader is a key middle leadership role within the Primary School, responsible for driving excellence in teaching, curriculum delivery, and learner wellbeing across their assigned stage. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on support, ensuring high-quality classroom practice, consistent programming, and strong professional culture among teachers.

In this position, you will:

* Lead curriculum delivery across your stage in collaboration with the Head of Curriculum
* Support and mentor teachers, building capacity and improving instructional practice
* Oversee assessment, reporting and academic progress tracking using school systems
* Drive wellbeing initiatives, addressing learner needs and partnering with families
* Collaborate on enrichment and innovation, including learning programs and events
* Model the Unity Playbook, setting the tone for culture, behaviour and professionalism
* Engage with the school community, coordinating stage events, assemblies and parent communication
* Ensure compliance and child safety, maintaining high standards of duty of care
* Contribute to strategic planning, supporting leadership directions and school initiatives
* Report on stage progress to Heads of Department and the Principal as required
* This role is central to building educator capability, improving learner outcomes and fostering a strong professional culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Bachelor of Education (Master's preferred)
* NESA accreditation — Experienced Teacher level ideal
* Minimum 5 years teaching experience, including at least 3 years in a middle leadership capacity
* Current Working With Children Check
