PositionProfile: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiasticperson to join our Disaster Preparedness and Management Directorate(DPMD) as a Training Manager.

In this position you willlead a system-wide review of WA Health's emergency managementtraining needs and identify capability gaps and futurerequirements. You will provide strategic advice on reforming DPMD'straining function, including governance, workforce planning andservice delivery models. Your key responsibilities willinclude:

* Lead a whole-of-systemdiagnostic assessment of emergency management training acrossWA Health, examining current capability, gaps, duplication, andalignment with State and national emergency managementarrangements.
* Review DPMD's existingtraining programs, delivery models, ways of working, resourceallocation, governance structures, systems, and qualityassurance mechanisms.
* Conduct detailedanalysis of workforce requirements, training demand profiles,and projected future needs to determine the optimal FTEestablishment for a sustainable training function.
* Engage, consult, andcollaborate with a wide range of internal and externalstakeholders to gather insights, validate findings, and ensurerecommendations are realistic and operationallysound.

Eligibility toApply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants musthave a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be anAustralian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live andwork indefinitely in Australia (for permanentappointments).

As well as undertaking a criminalrecord screening and integrity checking, you may also be requiredto undertake a working with children check (if required for therole) and a pre-employment health assessment.
