Tamworth Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 14 bed unit (8 ICU, 6 HDU) providing intensive care for patients across the northern half of Hunter New England Health. The intensive care unit is a Level 5 unit equipped to provide complex multi-system life support to critically ill patients including mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, and invasive cardiovascular monitoring. As the new Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will be responsible for the clinical leadership and direction of the unit, coordinating patient flow and staff allocation across the ICU on a daily basis. You won’t be working alone. You will be supported by the Critical Care Nurse Manager and will work closely with the education team, as well at the Deputy Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing.
