We've partnered with a global engineering organisation at the forefront of industrial electrification, powered cable management systems and ports & marine technologies. We're currently seeking a QLD-based Field Service Technician to support field service work Australia-wide.
If you're an electrically minded Field Service Technician, Industrial Electrician or Mechanical Fitter who enjoys site work, problem-solving and working with specialised equipment (rather than the same tasks every day), this is a rare long-term opportunity.

The Opportunity
You'll join a small, supportive service team working across:
* Industrial & mining sites (conveyors, stackers/reclaimers, processing plants)
* Ports & marine operations (mooring systems, shore power, bulk handling)
* Motorised reels, industrial power supply and control systems for heavy equipment

Key Responsibilities
* Travel to customer sites across Australia including regional and remote locations to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair:
* Motorised cable and hose reels
* Industrial power supply systems and control equipment
* Ports & marine technologies including automated/vacuum mooring and shore power
* Perform electrical fault finding, testing and diagnostics on low-voltage industrial equipment, motors and drives
* Assist with workshop tasks and complete training as required
* Work with mechanical components (reels, frames, structures)—basic mechanical aptitude welcomed
* Manage your own time, documentation, service reports and risk assessments
* Liaise directly with customers on site and over the phone, providing professional technical support
* Participate in overtime, travel and work away from home when required
When you're not on site, you'll work from home handling planning, reporting and technical support no daily commute.

About You
We're looking for a hands-on technician with a strong service mindset.
You will bring:
* Australian trade qualification as an Electrician
* Experience as a Field Service Technician, Service Electrician or Industrial Maintenance Electrician
* Strong electrical fault-finding skills (motors, drives, control panels, industrial power)
* Comfortable with site work, travel, overtime and remote work
* Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service
* Ability to understand drawings and schematics
* Full driver's licence and full Australian working rights
Highly desirable (not essential):
* Experience in mining, heavy industry, ports, marine or bulk materials handling
* Exposure to motorised reels, cranes, conveyors, stackers/reclaimers or automated equipment
* Basic PLC and VFD understanding
