About the Role

— We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary 12 month fixed‑term Corporate Affairs Advisor to join our dynamic Office of the CEO.

In this role, you'll support the delivery of high‑quality corporate affairs initiatives that enhance GPC's reputation and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the delivery of corporate affairs activities including communications, media relations, and government engagement.
* Research and prepare media releases, briefing notes, Q&As, and other written materials to support timely and accurate public communications.
* Create engaging digital content, including video, audio and written materials for GPC's website and social media platforms.
* Support the monitoring of issues, opportunities and trends that may impact GPC's reputation.
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of media and community events.
* Develop and implement communication strategies and plans to reach diverse audiences.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure alignment between Corporate Affairs and Community Relations portfolios.


About You

You're a skilled communicator with a strong understanding of contemporary media and stakeholder engagement practices. You have the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling messages, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment that requires adaptability and collaboration.


You will also bring

* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field (desirable).
* Advanced writing and editing skills with experience across multiple communication channels.
* Strong digital and social media literacy, including experience with content creation tools and platforms.
* High‑level interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
* A demonstrated commitment to GPC's values – Growth, Prosperity, Community.
* C Class Driver's Licence and the ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
