**The Role**
ASD6 Radio Frequency (RF) Signal Analysts enjoy either working as an expert in, or leading, small to medium-sized teams to solve intelligence problems, and are motivated to learn new skill specialisations.
They operate independently under mínimal direction to achieve outcomes for themselves and their team, and provide guidance, encouragement and mentoring to less experienced staff.
You will be accountable to build productive working relationships across ASD and the wider National Intelligence Community in order to deliver on business and intelligence outcomes.
Our RF Signal Analyst roles are varied, and can cover areas such as communications signals and/or protocol analysis, radio frequency systems operations and/or analysis; data processing, programming or scripting; business analysis, project management, stakeholder engagement, risk management and access operations management.
Some of the associated duties and responsibilities for this role may include:
- Mentoring and/or managing less experienced staff to develop their skills and achieve organisational outcomes.
- Be accountable to allocate work, resources and tasks, set work area priorities, develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, actively participate in team work and motivate and mentor developing technicians.
- Tailor communication style and language to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work.
- Provide detailed signals intelligence, technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.

We are looking for RF Signal Analysts to work across multiple missions within ASD and use their understanding of the RF spectrum, technical and analysis skills. As an RF Signals Analyst, you will possess strong analytical skills to conduct complex collection, analysis, and production of signals intelligence.
**Desirable Qualifications, Experience or Training**
There are no mandatory qualifications required for this position, as ASD is looking for qualified and/or experienced analysts from a diverse range of backgrounds with a positive, self-starting 'can do' approach to challenging times and problem sets.
