Greentech Maroochydore is seeking a driven and technically capable Business Development Manager (Solar) to join their high-performing team.
In this dynamic, customer-facing role, you'll be responsible for growing sales across the Sunshine Coast region through proactive relationship management, technical expertise, and a genuine passion for renewable energy. You'll work closely with the Branch Manager, internal sales, and technical teams to identify opportunities, deliver solutions, and help customers achieve success in the rapidly evolving solar market.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Maroochydore, QLD.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the solar and renewable energy sector
* Build strong relationships with electrical contractors, solar installers, and key industry partners
* Work collaboratively with Greentech's internal sales and technical teams to convert leads into sales
* Promote Greentech's full solar product range and provide technical product support to customers
* Conduct market research to identify growth areas, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
* Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with branch and business objectives
* Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotes, and product solutions
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solar panels, inverters, and energy storage systems
* Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events to strengthen Greentech's market presence
* Manage CRM records to accurately track pipeline activity and customer engagement
What you'll need to succeed:
* Demonstrated experience in solar or renewable energy sales (essential)
* Proven track record in business development or account management
* Confident and influential communicator – able to build rapport quickly and close deals
* Technically knowledgeable in solar products and systems
* Highly driven, proactive, and self-motivated – thrives in a target-driven environment
* Assertive and personable, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
* Hardworking and outcome-focused, with excellent follow-through
* Operates effectively with autonomy while contributing to a collaborative team culture
* Competitive and goal-oriented – a true "hunter" mentality
* Current driver's licence; forklift licence advantageous
