Our purpose is to ensure our students leave school as confident and informed individuals with the skills and knowledge to succeed to be active and informed members of society.Our programs are delivered in a modern state of the art campus, with purpose-built learning areas which include well equipped technology workshops, science laboratories, gymnasium/fitness centre and arts facilities, while our nurturing environment encourages students to work to the best of their ability and achieve great outcomes.Find out more about our school by visiting coastallakescollege.wa.edu.au or Schools OnlineThe RoleCoastal Lakes College is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Special Needs Education Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team.As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you should have the ability to work independently and use initiative to assist the teacher in maintaining order and assisting in the delivery and implementation of planned education programs. Some of the skills and attributes desired to be successful include experience dealing with complex behaviours, working with individuals or small groups of students and reporting student achievement and progress to the teacher, experience with trauma informed practice and mental health, along with a sound understanding of a range of disabilities.The successful applicant will ideally have the skills and desire to work collaboratively with all staff in supporting our students to achieve success.
