No two days are the same in this dynamic role One day you could be helping a participant build their independent living skills and the next day you could be out and about providing recreational support and community access. This is a rewarding and varied role
What you'll do:
* Provide person-centred support to participants

What you'll bring to the role:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the disability sector
* Passion for working with people in their homes and the community
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* A Proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants and teams
* Experience with positive behaviour strategies and working in line with behaviour support plans
* Ability to work across weekdays and weekends as per the required roster
* Ability to use your own vehicle travelling within the Perth metro area.
* Commitment to the NDIS Standards and the Safeguarding of children and adults at risk.
What you'll need:
* Australian Citizenship or Full and unrestricted working rights for Australia
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Provide First Aid Certificate
* Western Australian 'C' driver's licence and reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
Availability
We require our workers to be able to do a mix of morning and afternoon shifts and availability Across weekdays and weekends.
AM shifts are anytime between 6am and 2pm. PM shifts are anytime between 12pm and 10pm.
You must have flexible availability to fit in the current rosters (including morning, afternoon, weekend, split and/or short shifts).
Position 1 – located in Balcatta/Koondoola
* Permanent 64hrs fortnight contract
* Experience with manual handling
* Set fortnight roster across weekdays, weekends, am and pm shifts
Position 2 - located in Balcatta/Koondoola
* Permanent 68hrs fortnight contract
* Experience with manual handling and behaviours of concern
* Experience in supporting people to access their local community
* Set fortnight roster across weekdays, weekends, am and pm shifts
Position 2 – located in Nollamara
* Permanent 61.5hrs fortnight contract
* Experience with manual handling and behaviours of concern
* Experience in supporting people to access their local community
* Set fortnight roster across weekdays, weekends, am and pm shifts
Selection Criteria:(To be addressed within your cover letter)
* Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities and assist them to achieve their goals. Please provide a summary of your experience and knowledge providing person-centred support for people living with a disability. Please state which position number you are applying for and you relevant experience for that role.

* High level of accountability and responsibility. Describe your approach to teamwork and accountability in a support setting
