About the Role
We are seeking qualified and experienced Bricklayers to join our full-time team in Perth. You will play a key role in the delivery of residential construction projects, using your trade expertise to ensure a high standard of workmanship across all bricklaying and masonry tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Lay bricks, blocks, and stone to construct or repair walls, arches, partitions, and paved areas
* Interpret technical plans and specifications to guide work
* Perform structural repairs and restoration as required
* Apply mortar and moisture-resistant coatings, and prepare sublayers for block placement
* Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently
* Install interlocking pavers and construct surface finishes
* Build and dismantle low-level scaffolds within safety limits
* Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth project execution
* Supervise apprentices and less experienced staff, providing mentoring and training
* Oversee project progress to ensure delivery within timelines, budget, and quality standards
* Manage on-site compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
* Plan materials, perform take-offs, and manage deliveries and site logistics
* Identify and resolve site issues in real-time
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment
Skills & Attributes
* Trade-qualified with minimum 3 years of bricklaying/blocklaying experience (5+ years preferred)
* Proven ability to work independently and supervise a team
* Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
* Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and plan interpretation
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety
* Effective communication and leadership capabilities
* Additional trade/machine tickets (e.g. working at heights, white card) are an advantage
