Design & Build are currently looking for a Site Manager to work with a fit‑out contractor who specialise in the fit out of retail, hospitality, corporate, base‑build & offices. They are known for servicing high‑profile clients including Nando’s, KFC, and other major retail brands.
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all on‑site activities, including subcontractors and trades.
* Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and company safety procedures.
* Develop and maintain site programmes and construction schedules.
* Liaise with Project Managers, clients and consultants to ensure smooth communication and project progression.
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and risk assessments.
* Ensure quality control and compliance with design documentation.
* Report on project progress, issues and milestones.
* Manage defect rectification and project handover.
Key Details
* Rate: Up to $70 per hour + Super
* Hours: 40 hours per week (weekend work available)
* Location: Projects across shopping centres in and around central Melbourne
* Requirements: White Card essential, First Aid preferred
* Start: Immediate
* Duration: Ongoing work available for the right candidate
* Ideal candidate: someone with retail fit‑out experience looking for consistent, well‑paid work with a reputable contractor.
