We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Tiler
If you have a passion for creating beautiful spaces and are eager to learn the art of tiling, this could be the perfect opportunity for you
You'll be placed with one of our host employers and guided through the intricacies of the trade, teaching you the tricks of the tiling trade that have been passed down through generations. You'll have hands-on opportunities to work on real projects, gaining valuable skills and experience.
You can expect to work full-time, 40 hours per week + the opportunity to accrue an RDO each month. Apprenticeship duration: 4 years. Opportunities in various locations on the Sunshine Coast.
As a Tiling apprentice, you can expect to:
· Assist in preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning and leveling.
· Learn to cut, shape, and lay tiles accurately to achieve desired patterns and designs.
· Assist in the application of adhesives, grout, and sealants.
· Observe safety practices and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
· Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional tiling projects.
· Be proactive in seeking knowledge and improvement in tiling techniques.
· Any other tasks requested by the host employer
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
· Genuine interest and enthusiasm for the Tiling trade
· Must hold a White Card or able to obtain ASAP
· Hold a current Drivers License and have own reliable transport
· Work Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable
· Must be physically fit
· Be a perfectionist with an eye for the finer details
· Be reliable, resilient, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Able to take direction
· Ability to work well in a team and take direction from others
