Role Overview
We are seeking a Clubs Coordinator (Full‐time, Fixed Term 12 months) within the Melbourne University Sport Department. Salary: UOM 5 – $86,941 – $99,864 per annum plus 17% super.
What You'll Deliver (Responsibilities)
* Support 40+ affiliated sporting clubs to design and deliver participation and performance programmes that engage diverse University students.
* Coordinate club‐facing activities such as orientation, forums, meetings, communications and annual surveys, ensuring clear, consistent messaging.
* Advise club leaders on governance, compliance and risk, including adherence to the Gender‐based Violence Code.
* Manage operational support such as facility bookings, funding processes, records, databases and performance data for awards and promotion.
* Provide insights on budgets, facilities, competition opportunities and industry trends to strengthen club operations and development.
Qualifications (Requirements)
* Hold a degree in Human Movement, Sport or Recreation Management, or equivalent relevant experience and training.
* Experience planning, managing and delivering sport participation and/or performance programmes, ideally with community clubs.
* Understanding of how community sporting clubs operate – governance, volunteers, competitions, facility access.
* Strong written and verbal communication, providing responsive, high‐quality service to students and stakeholders.
* Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines with strong organisational skills.
* Capacity to build positive relationships with students, staff, alumni, local government and facility operators in dynamic environments.
