About the Role & Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial (Contracts), the Contract Manager is responsible for the end-to-end contract management of assigned contracts for the full post tender contract lifecycle. This is a 12-month fixed term role, however ASL is committed to provide pathways and opportunities for ongoing work across our business and AEMO wherever possible and / or practical.
Responsibilities include :
* Onboarding and establishing governance with the Operators
* Managing contract performance and compliance
* Communicating escalations and risks to the Senior Manager in a timely manner
* Assessing, and where required, seeking approval for any contract variations
* Drafting Approval / Board papers
* Developing monthly reporting to Senior Management / Board
* Providing insights from Operator engagement
* Maintaining accurate information within the Contract Management system
* Exploring innovative procurement & contract management solutions to support the contract management function
* Demonstrating and promoting a culture of integrity, accountability and safety in all practices and activities
* Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders, translating technical & complex information clearly & concisely
* Undertaking objective, critical analysis to draw accurate conclusions that recognise and manage contextual issues and explore / recommend alternatives to contribute to system, process and business improvements.
* Develop an understanding of and adheres to standards of governance and probity requirements in accordance with ASL’s processes
* Demonstrate and apply basic risk and compliance assessment skills
About You & the Role Requirements :
* Proven experience in Contract Management, Project Management and / or Procurement to deliver complex infrastructure projects, transactions or financing
* Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership relating to contracts and contract management
* Strong interest in, and curiosity about, energy transition and / or renewable energy
* A solution, client-oriented attitude who thrives in a dynamic working environment
* A true collaborator who is proactive and willing
