Overview
Unite Resourcing has been engaged by our renowned Client to source Experienced Qualified Chefs for full-time positions in the Bowen Basin region, QLD. Our client has opportunities for full-time positions in multiple villages in the Bowen Basin approximately 2 hours drive from Mackay, QLD. Immediate starts are available in villages varying in size, up to 3000 rooms.
Role and Responsibilities
Experienced and qualified Chefs are sought with proven experience in production/bulk cooking. In this role, you will take charge of preparing, cooking, and serving cuisine according to predefined menus and operational guidelines, with a keen emphasis on timeliness, presentation, and delivering exceptional, courteous customer service to both guests and fellow staff members.
Full-time positions consist of ongoing rotating rosters such as 5 days on, 2 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off — may vary per village. The positions are drive in, drive out. You may be required to work a combination of day and night shifts.
Compensation and Benefits
* Competitive Salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum + Superannuation

Qualifications and Requirements
* Australian Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* National Police Clearance
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol screens
* Good communication skills
* Relevant experience in production/bulk cooking
Preferred Experience
* Experience in high-volume, fast-paced kitchens
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt
* Demonstrated experience working well in teams
* Willingness to assist in staff training when required
* Competence in batch cooking across all service offerings
* Remote work experience - advantageous
