We are currently seeking a Draftsperson to join a dynamic and established design team. You will play a key role in designing and drafting residential building projects from concept to completion, working closely with architects and project managers to ensure all plans meet client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed and accurate construction drawings and plans using Archicad
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders
* Review and interpret architectural designs, providing technical input
* Prepare documentation and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
* Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on technical drafting issues
* Conduct site visits and liaise with clients to resolve design challenges
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Draftsperson in the residential building sector
* Expertise in Archicad (experience with other BIM software is a plus)
* Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations (or relevant local standards)
* Ability to create and modify detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
* Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Architecture, Drafting, or related field
