At Automatic Gates & Doors (AGAD), we're looking for an Estimator to join our Brisbane-based team and help drive the next stage of our growth.
This isn't just a quoting role - you'll be an important part of how we plan projects, support our installation teams, and ensure every job is set up for success from the beginning.
About AGAD
We specialise in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of automated gates and access solutions across residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Our work ranges from custom fabricated gates through to large-scale commercial automation - meaning no two days look the same.
We're a close-knit team that values quality workmanship, clear communication and genuine care for our clients and each other. We work hard, but we also keep things practical, supportive and down-to-earth.

What your role will involve
* Preparing accurate and detailed estimates for gate, door and automation projects
* Reviewing site information, drawings, and scope details to build clear proposals
* Working closely with operations, workshop and technicians to ensure real-world costs are captured
* Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to confirm pricing and lead times
* Helping refine pricing structures and improve estimating processes as we grow
* Supporting project handovers to ensure jobs are set up correctly from the start
What we're looking for
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Confidence working with numbers, costs and pricing
* Clear communication skills - both written and verbal
* Ability to think proactively and solve problems
* Experience in estimating, construction, fabrication, gates, or electrical industries is highly regarded (but not essential)
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
You don't need to come from the gates industry - we're happy to train the right person who brings the right mindset and work ethic.
