The Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven
Senior Sales Director
to drive the growth of our B2B prepaid card and payments business. This role is responsible for originating, developing, and closing high-value partnerships with enterprise and mid-market clients across key verticals.
You will play a critical role in shaping go-to-market strategy, building a high-performance pipeline, and positioning our client as a market leader in prepaid and embedded payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Leadership Identify, target, and close new B2B opportunities for prepaid card programs and payment solutions
Build and manage a strong pipeline across enterprise, fintech, government, and corporate segments
Lead complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
Achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets
Strategic Partnerships Develop partnerships with program managers, fintech platforms, and corporate clients
Structure and negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing and revenue models
Collaborate with scheme partners to identify and develop strategic opportunities
Market & Product Positioning Provide market insights to influence product development and innovation
Position our client’s solutions across use cases such as:
Incentives & rewards
Expense management
Digital wallets & embedded finance
Internal Collaboration Work closely with product, compliance, operations, and marketing teams
Support onboarding and successful launch of new client programs
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements in Australia
Leadership & Influence Act as a senior commercial leader within the organisation
Mentor junior sales team members where applicable
Represent our client at industry events and client engagements
Key Requirements Experience
10+ years in B2B sales within payments, fintech, or financial services
Proven track record selling prepaid cards, issuing, or payment solutions
Strong network across Australian corporates, fintechs, or financial institutions
Skills
Deep understanding of payments ecosystem (schemes, issuers, program managers), preferably card issuing
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
Ability to translate client needs into scalable payment solutions
Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
