About the Role
We are currently recruiting two Full-Time Maintenance Services Assistants to join our team at Riverside Gardens Retirement Village in Nambucca Heads, NSW.
This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in maintaining a safe, functional and welcoming environment for our residents. Working Monday to Friday, you'll support the day-to-day upkeep of the village, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
You'll be responsible for general repairs, preventative maintenance, and supporting the presentation of both indoor and outdoor areas. No two days are the same, and your work will have a direct impact on the comfort and safety of our residents.
We're looking for someone with a trade background or strong hands-on maintenance experience who is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in their work.
What You'll Be Doing
* Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across the village
* Performing preventative maintenance to ensure buildings, equipment and systems are safe and reliable
* Responding to maintenance requests and prioritising urgent issues
* Assisting with the upkeep of outdoor areas including gardens, pathways and shared spaces
* Monitoring the overall condition of the facility and reporting hazards or larger repair needs
* Maintaining tools, equipment and basic records while contributing to a safe working environment
About You
You'll be a great fit if you have:
* A trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience
* Practical, hands-on experience in general maintenance or a similar role
* Skills across building maintenance and basic repairs
* The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* A good understanding of Workplace Health & Safety practices
* A current driver's licence
* A National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong communication skills and a respectful, professional approach
