Family Support Worker - Full-time
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated, and skilled Family Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support Indigenous families and their young children to ensure their developmental and educational needs are met during the early years.
You will work closely with clients to help them access relevant services and resources, support them in achieving their goals, and build strong partnerships across the region with health, education, and community services. The position also involves participating in all key stages of the case management process and building meaningful linkages with Indigenous communities and organisations.
Candidates Need:
* Certificate IV in Early Childhood Education and Care and/or Community Services, or relevant experience.
* Demonstrated experience in case management and early childhood support.
* Experience with evidence-based parenting programs (desirable).
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a large team.
* Basic knowledge of data entry and reporting requirements.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to communicate respectfully and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
* Current Working with Children Blue Card or eligibility to obtain one.
* Current, clean Open Queensland Driver's Licence.
* Current National Police Check.
