Kinburra Preschool
An opportunity for a permanent part-time lunch cover position has arisen at our Community-based Preschool catering for up to 40 children daily in Kincumber on the NSW Central Coast.
Kinburra Preschool is licenced for children aged 3-6 years. The Preschool operates school Terms, 41 weeks per year, opening hours 8am-3.30pm. Kinburra Preschool has a rating of Exceeding the National Quality Standards in all seven quality areas. The Preschool has been operating since 1977 and is managed by the Director and a dedicated parent management committee. Our beautiful natural playground and Eco garden that we visit daily supports our play-based program. The EYLF and Reggio Emilia approach inspires our practices and we have shaped our philosophy using this approach. Kinburra Educators are dedicated and very experienced, they pride themselves on their reflective practices to support Individual children's development. Kinburra is a Child Safe Organisation and prioritises the safety and well-being of all children.
The Role
Kinburra is looking for a Certificate 3 trained Early Childhood Educator (permanent part-time) to help cover Educator's lunch and programming time. This position would be from 10am until 2pm Monday - Friday until December 19th 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement educational experiences based on the children's voices
* Ensure a safe environment for all children in your care
* Maintain positive relationships with families
* Foster collaborative relationships with fellow staff members
* Float across the two rooms to provide lunch cover for all Educators
To join our team, you will need:
* Certificate 3 in Early Childhood
* Current experience working at an Early Childhood Service/Preschool
* Experience in supporting the inclusion of children with additional needs
* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
* Commitment to child safety and development and Child Protection qualifications
* Engage with our RAP, QIP and Child Safe Action Plans
* Valid First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Training
* Working with Children Check
* Vaccinated for COVID-19 (as per service policy)
* Australian working rights
* Two current references
